Teleport Links
We would like to experimentally offer to install command block* based teleport links for a fee. The current price is £5 for 2 command blocks, sold as a pair. Block A teleports the nearest player to a location within 10 blocks of Block B and vice versa. You must place a sign at each proposed location and tell us the coordinates. At your request, the location of command block and teleport coordinates can be adjusted by up to 20 blocks from original location for up to a week after they have been placed. After that, the link is unmovable and unowned (although you may have claimed ether or both ends of the link with GriefPrevention). Teleport links will then not be removed even if you ask - they will be there forever! (A long time!)
Restrictions: command blocks (and teleport coordinates) can only be placed within your own claim or in the wilderness (i.e. unclaimed). Use a stick to test whether a location is claimed and by whom. If a command block is within your claim then you must ensure that all players can both access it and activate it (standing in the relevant claim and typing "/accesstrust all" should be sufficient in most cases) - this is in order to comply with Minecraft's new EULA which says that servers cannot offer any in-game advantage in exchange for money unless that advantage is offered to everyone. We may publish the locations of teleport links on the In-Game Times and Places page, to make them easy for everyone to find.
To order a teleport link, please fill out the form to the lower right. We'll check your request to make sure that it's possible and not breaking any rules. Then we'll email you with the relevant details for your chosen payment method.
* Command blocks are special blocks that can only be placed, destroyed and configured by a server Operator in creative mode. They execute a particular command (configured by said Operator) whenever they are activated by a redstone current. A simple way to activate them is to place a button on them, and push the button.
The money form your teleport link perchase will go towards development unless you request that it go towards hosting.

Payment optionsBuyer pays all transaction fees.
Bank Transfer - If you have a UK (current) bank account you can do a BACS/Faster Payment transfer, and avoid all transaction fees. Bitcoin - Internet currency yay! Pity about the instability. We'll email you a price depending on the converted value of Bitcoin at the time you request the service. Ripple - It's still in beta, not straightforward for most people, and at this early stage might not even work out as cheaper than PayPal, but it's an option we will accept. PayPal - If paying by PayPal from a non-UK, non-GBP bank account you will need to send £5.38 for us to receive £5. If your contribution doesn't appear in the "Bee accounts" document within 7 days, feel free to bother me. |
